In 2020, our family embarked on a journey to bring the authentic taste of New York-style pizza to Texas. With a passion for quality ingredients and a love for good food, we established our family-owned pizza place, Vamos. Our goal is to provide our community with the best pizza experience possible, one slice at a time
Vamos Pizza Mesquite was founded by Fidel, who originally co-owned Vamos Pizza Garland. Due to internal disputes and legal issues, the partnership at Garland dissolved. Fidel retained the rights to the name and original recipes, which he brought to Mesquite.
Vamos Pizza Mesquite is proudly family-owned and operated. Fidel, along with his family, is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. We believe in treating our customers like family, and that commitment is evident in every pizza we make and every interaction we have.
After the split, Vamos Pizza Garland continued without Fidel's recipes and oversight, leading to a decline in quality. Eventually, legal action forced the closure of Vamos Pizza Garland due to unpaid debts and unauthorized use of the name.
Today, Vamos Pizza Mesquite proudly serves the original recipes and maintains the high standards that made it a favorite. We are committed to excellence, continually striving to improve and provide the best possible experience for our customers. Our family works together to ensure that every meal is prepared with love and care, using the finest ingredients and time-tested recipes.
All of our sauces are made in-house with true Italian tradition — our marinara is cotto lentamente (slow-cooked) for over 6 hours, our Alfredo is fatto al momento (made to order), and both our signature Vamos (pink) sauce and ragù di carne (meat sauce) are prepared fresh from scratch.
Our signature pizza sauce is made with a blend of Fresh tomato sauce from California ,and a secret blend of herbs and spices. It's been passed down through generations and is the key to our delicious pizzas.
